Jake Murdoch is a multi-instrumentalist (16 instruments), multilingual (8 languages), multigenre singer and songwriter.

In July 2022 Jake (aged 12) was invited on national television to perform LIVE on STUDIO 10 with Tristan MacManus and Sarah Harriss. In December 2023 Jake (aged 14) was invited back onto Studio 10 to perform Popo and Itza (co-written with Andrew Farriss) with Tristan MacManus and Angela Bishop.

Jake has also been interviewed LIVE on air on Juice 1073, ABC (Gold Coast, Brisbane and Wide Bay), Kix Country, FLOW FM, and 2TM in Tamworth. Jake has also been featured LIVE on air on more than 100 commercial and community radio stations across Australia, including ABC Country with Beccy Cole and country music syndicated shows such as Australian Country Radio and Good Morning Country. Jake has been featured in many magazines and newspapers nationwide including IT Girl, Total Girl, and Girl.com.

A major career highlight was as a guest performer playing on stage with Andrew Farriss with his full band The Rainmakers at Moonshiners Honky Tonk Bar in Tamworth in April 2022. An incredible honour! In November 2022 Jake was invited to perform with Andrew and his band at Oodies Cafe in Bundaberg during the Andrew Farriss and Andrew Swift tour. In March 2024 Jake again appeared on stage with Andrew and his band at the Old Brisbane Museum as part of the Andrew Farriss Songs and Stories Australian Tour 2024.

Jake was accorded a real honour when he was invited to stay with Andrew and his family at the farm in Tamworth in 2022. During this stay Jake and Andrew wrote their first song together. Jake and Andrew have continued co-writing songs together since.

Also in 2022, Jake was invited by Tania Kernaghan to perform on her TK Club ‘Don’t Bore Us, Give Us The Chorus’ May episode. In July 2022 Jake performed as a special guest for Shelley and Lawrie Minson during the Hats Off To Country Festival in Tamworth. Jake was a Bluesfest Grommet semi-finalist, Gympie Music Muster finalist, and the Best Musical Performance winner of Fastrack Talent. Jake’s songs have been recognised world-wide in various song writing competitions.

Jake has also performed on major stages at the EKKA, Gympie Music Muster, Tamworth Country Music Festival, Hats Off To Country, Wynnum Fringe Festival, Redfest, RPAC, and IndigiScapes with Ranger Stacey. In 2023 Jake performed on the main stage at the Brisbane Matsuri Festival.

On September 20, 2021, at age 11 Jake released his self-titled Debut EP ‘Jakeycakes’ covering rock, country, blues and pop genres.
